Precious Cargo from South Africa
It has been the realization of a dream for myself and my family to move to France as we continue to get settled into our new home at Château des Tesnières. However, if you ask anyone who’s moved a family and home overseas, they will tell you; it’s not that easy!
It has been a meticulous and melancholic process to pack up all our precious belongings at The Orient Hotel; from the exquisite paintings of Adriaan Boshoff and sculptures by Tienie Pritchard through to antiques, furniture and finds from our many travels as a family around the world. All needed to be safely documented, packaged, and loaded for the long journey over to Torcé, France.
It takes an incredible amount of trust to see all of your most valuable memories and possessions placed in the hands of another, which is why we would like to extend a big and heartfelt thank you to the dynamic teams from AGS Global Solutions and Mobilitas in South Africa and in France who have been there with us every step of the way. From the packing and uploading as we said farewell to the Orient in SA – through to the safe passage and delivery of all to our new home.
With our shipments finally arrived safely from South Africa, it really does feel now that our futures are beginning to settle here in France.
